Well I have had quite the season in my first ever quad racing experience. Having finishing with One 1st, Two 2nd, and One 3rd thus far in the season Jasper Peterson leads the points and I closely trail for second. Racing with Jasper has been one of the funnest, most eventful seasons of my 13 year racing career. Jasper has been riding his hole life but brand new to the racing world, and turning heads at that.
Most of the season has been pretty smooth for both Jasper and I putting the Hondas up front all season. I have been working on getting my bike set up for this type of riding versus the sand I normally do. Round #4 there was 7 quads lined up in our class, 4 of us piled up in the start before the first turn. Next to 11 year old Brock Baseel flying threw the tin wall, probably the second best crash of the year. They red flagged the race, I go quickly fix my quad and (unbelievably) reline up for the second start of the second moto. Finishing 2nd to... well... Jasper it was a very good race with #929 Nelson taking 3rd.
I (Jeremy Mickelson) will be missing the next round #5. Jasper Peterson will be missing the final round #6. As Nelson #929 has missed round #3. So needless to say it will be a interesting year for the 3 of us and a epic one at that!!
Thanks to all my help for the year 2011: Scott Free Graphics, Wrenegadepoker.com, MoxieMX and Pinnacal Suspension.

WOW!! So I have turned into quite the slacker, haven't I?
So to fill you in a little I have been spending most of my summer weekends laying low and recovering my knee. Witch is 100% now. Also been hanging out at the sand dunes riding my quad.
I did start riding again and cought a couple of the last P.I.R races. the Moxie MX Race for a cure. I got a great start i both motos but didn't finish well (lack of training). I also raced the last race of the season and did... OK. The opening round at Woodland was when things started to pick back up for me. I finished a 2nd and a 3rd for 3rd over all. I competed in my first ever quad race and went 1-1 for 1st over all, that does not mean i will be a full time quad racer just thought it would be fun.... and that it was. Fallowed by that four of buddy's and I went to Riverdale Raceway to practice and I blew up my motor. So... Once again I am out for a little bit, however I will be back for the Christmas race, the grooling Pasco Arenacross witch i always have bad luck at, as well as other Clark County AX races.
Wish me luck!

OUCH!!!

Ok, its been a while for a couple things. Its been a while since I have posted anything, its been a while since I have been layd up and off the bike :-(
So i guess I should start from the begining. Last sunday I went to Albany for the Devol race. Pulling a hole shot and fishing 3rd in the first race and 6th in the second I took home a 4th over all in the 450 class and 1st in the plus 25.
On thursday I went to P.I.R for the first time of the season. Had a slow first practice, second practice I found some new lines and steped it up. Pulling the hole shot in the first moto Max Harris made quick work to get around me. Leaving me all alone in second, I had it locked. Last lap some beginner rider got out of control riding sidways across the track from a differant section. I was 4th gear wide open and T boned him. His helmet went flying and so did I. Now I am layed up with a brocken hand and hyper extended Knee, writing you this from my bed on my stupid smart phone. The big bum deal is i will probably be out of the points at mt. View. Oh well i guess there is next year. Thanks to God for keeping me safe and to all my friends that came threw and helped me. Also want thank every one for the suport on FaceBook.

Mt.View MX opener

Hey every one! We had amazing opening round at Mt. View MX on sunday, what a beautifull day it was.The track was preped very well. After a great practice I knew it was going to be a fast paced day. Accompanied by Sarah who was sitting at the edge of her seat clinching her jaw at her very first motocross experience. I head to the first moto of the day.
Heat#1 450: I staled it on the line, two corners behind I left the gate working half the field in the first lap, second half the field in lap 2. In second place charging hard it took me 3 1/2 laps to chase down the leader #106 of Nick Mancuso(shout out). After catching him he picked it a notch, making it harder to find away around him. Battling in the roost of Mancuso's Kawasaki 250F it felt like I was being shot by a thousand frozen paint balls. Coming out of the whoops with the presser on, Nick hits the inside hard and washes out his front end going down giving up the lead to conclude the race.
Heat#1 BTH: The gate was a little sticky on all the starts, I found my self in second place with a fellow Moxie MX rider. Battling for a couple laps another rider got him self in the mix. making a pass putting me in 3rd it became a 3 way battle for 1st place. Not one of the 3 of us got more than a bike length away from the other, some corners as close as 6 inches off the other. It was a very fun race for me.
Heat #2 450: Catching a square edge some where in the previous moto left me with a flat and a DNF.
Heat#2 BTH: By this time the track was getting a little dry slick, making it harder to as fast as we were in the earlier part of the day. With a 4th place start i did what ever i could to make my passes as early in the race as possible. I knew if I didn't it would be harder later do to the only fast line that had developed in the track. I quickly got into 2nd place. With the leader checking out on me I knew i could not catch him. So i settled in my line and paced myself to finish the race.
Conclusion: 450class 1st-DNF=last, BTH 3rd-2nd=2nd overall.
I would have to say this Sunday was some of the funnest racing I have done in my 13 years. With the support of Moxie MX, Pinnicle Suspension, Judy at Attitude Motorsports, all the intense racing and coming back to my pit to see a BIG smile on Sarah's face(with a sore jaw) it was a extremely fun day thank you to every one from COSMIC ricing!

new 2011 team COSMIC racing

Well after being of the bike for a while, we had practice at woodland. Also a race a few weeks ago in Richland, WA. Winning the +25 class and a top 10 finnish in the 450cc class, it was a ok weekend. I feel alright, have a little arm pump but the more time on the bike the better it will get. We are currently working on a new look for the 2011 out door season, including new sponsors and a long time friend and now teammate Danny Costa. Together we put together COSMIC racing (get it costa/mickelson=cosmic). We are not sure exactly what we are going to do with it, but as of now the bikes and graphics look sick, thanks to Scott Baseal (FB me if you want a set of graphics or connections on your own custom set). Plans for 2011 are the Washougal series as well as Pacific NW Nationals. Round one is next weekend, If it rains out i may end up in Madras. Thanks for all the support and fallows keep watch for more up dates.
